Ittihad crushed Al-Watani 7-2 to extend its lead on top of the Saudi Premier League Soccer at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah on Monday. Moroccan striker Hicham Bou Sharwan scored three goals while Niaf Hazazi scored a brace and substitutes Abdul Aziz Al-Subiani and Talal Al-Mishal completed the tally. Al-Watani almost kept the match under control after it ended the first half 2-2, thanks to two goals scored by Issa Abu-Qada and Ayed Al-Balawi from the spot. The victory put Al-Ittihad on 36 points, just three points ahead of defending champion Al-Hilal. Naif Hazazi broke the deadlock after 16 minutes before Bou Sharwan doubled the score from a free kick in the 25th minute. Issa Abu-Qada and Ayed Al-Balawi scored from two penalties in the 43rd and 46th minutes respectively but Bou Sharwan regained the lead ten minutes after the break. Three minutes later, Hazazi made it 4-2 before Al-Watani lost the services of Mosa Sunaid who received a red card in the 64th minute. In the 88th minute, substitute Subiani blasted the ball from outside the box to net the sixth goal while Talal Al-Mishal sealed the win in the 90th minute after a one-on-one with Al-Watani goalkeeper. In another match, Al-Hilal won against Al-Raed 2-0 in Qassim. The win maintained the second position for Al-Hilal on 33 points. Defender Majed Al-Marshadi put Al-Hilal ahead four minutes from the break before Mohammed Nami sealed the win in the 49th minute. Elsewhere, a late goal from Nasser Al-Shamrani sealed a 3-2 victory over Al-Ahli at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. Hassan Moaz opened the score in the 22nd minute from a long shot before Al-Shamrani doubled the lead four minutes after the break. Al-Ahli retaliated after the two goals as ace striker Malek Al-Hawsawi reduced the margin in the 62nd minute. Ten minutes later, a header from defender Waleed Al-Jahdali brought the equalizer for Al-Ahli but Al-Shamrani's 95th minute spot-goal sealed the win for Al-Shabab to stay third on 28 points.
