RAFHA — Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami visited on Tuesday the bereaved family members of Sgt. Abdulaziz Al-Furaih, who was martyred in the line of duty while arresting a drug smuggler. He also visited three security men who were admitted to Rafha hospital after sustaining injuries in the attack of the drug trafficker in the Rafha governorate in the Northern Borders Region. Al-Bassami conveyed the condolences of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif to the family members and relatives of Al-Furaih, one of the members of the Public Security. Al-Furaih succumbed to injuries caused by a wanted criminal in drug trafficking cases while arresting him. Al-Bassami condoled family members of the martyr and prayed God to bestow him forgiveness as well as to give patience and solace to the kin to bear the loss. He stressed that the efforts and sacrifices made by the security men to maintain the security of society and protect it from the danger of crime stems from their faith in their responsibilities towards their religion, country and leadership. Al-Furaih's family expressed their thanks and appreciation of the wise leadership. Al-Bassami also visited three security men who were injured while performing their duties. He conveyed to them the greetings of Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud, and his prayers for a speedy recovery. On their part, the injured soldiers expressed their thanks to the wise leadership for their support and concern for the security men. They stressed that the injury will not discourage them from continuing to work alongside their colleagues in the field to continue their war on drugs as well as to prosecute drug smugglers and dealers.
