Mango, the King of Fruits, is here and all the LuLu Hypermarket outlets across Saudi Arabia will celebrate the goodness of the popular fruit with the LuLu Mango Mania Festival. The festival, featuring over 100 varieties of mango from 12 countries was inaugurated at the Lulu Hypermarket outlet in Riyadh Avenue Mall, Murabba, Riyadh by Suhel Ajaz Khan, honorable Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The fest was inaugurated by Mohd Shahid Alam, Consul General India to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in LuLu Hypermarket Madina Road, Jeddah. Pride of place among the 12 countries from which the delicious fruit will be showcased will go to India with 60 amazing varieties and to Saudi Arabia with 24 dazzling varieties of mango. The other countries in the mango parade are Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Yemen, Uganda, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Colombia, and Peru. Present at the inauguration were the Director of LuLu Hypermarket Saudi Arabia, Shehim Mohammed, and senior officials of the Hypermarket Management. The Mango Mania Festival is all about the goodness of the fruit in many forms – from juicy harvest to desserts, curries, pickles, and smoothies. Besides mangoes ripe and raw, there will also be promotions galore and treats in the Lulu Hot Food and Cold Food section with mango items such as mango fish curry, mango chicken curry, stuffed chicken breasts with honey mango sauce, pickles, traditional treats like Aamras (mango puree) and puri bread and new age foods like mango and flax seed vegan smoothie. We wish all our shoppers a happy mango tasting!" During his speech, the Ambassador thanks Saudi Authority for helping with evacuation of Indians during Sudan Crisis. During the crisis, over 3000 Indians who have been living and working in Sudan were evacuated. The event was attended by the Saudi dignitaries, members of Diplomatic Corps including Darm Boontham, Ambassador of Thailand to Saudi Arabia, members of Indian community, and other expatriate communities.
