RIYADH — Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) issued a ministerial decision of localizing several professions and activities with different percentages in Jazan region. This came in cooperation with the emirate of Jazan region within the program of (regional localization) which was conducted by MHRSD in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and Jazan emirate to offer further stimulating and productive job opportunities to Saudis, and raise the percentage of their participation in the labor market. The decision included the localization by 70% of the total workers of the following activities: the outlets providing service for the activity of advertising agencies in sales outlets; outlets providing photography service; outlets providing fixing and maintenance services for personal computers and laptops. Additionally, localization will be in reservations offices; the supervisory profession in wedding halls and events with residence. This will exclude the cleaning worker and freight and unloading worker professions, provided that the worker's percentage does not exceed 20%, with the requirement of adhering of wearing the uniform. The localization decision also includes the professions of operating and maintaining passenger ferries by 50% for the professions of marine engineer; ship safety technician; sailor; ordinary sailor; ship traffic controller; maritime navigator; maritime observer and sea attendant. Moreover, jobs of ticket clerk; accounts clerk; accounts assistant; accounts manager; financial clerk; accounts and budget manager; financial analyst will be localized. It is noteworthy that implementation of the localizing decision will be implemented in 2 phases, the first of which is 6 months after the issuance of the decision, and the second phase will be after 12 months after the issuance of the decision.
