RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Developments (MHRSD) announced the start of implementing the decision of localizing outlets of postal and parcel delivery services throughout Saudi Arabia. MHRSD said that the decision has come into force, starting from today, and that has taken effect after the completion of the grace period specified for localizing these activities. The first phase of the decision includes localizing 14 activities from the postal activities by 100%, with the exception of the professions of cleaning worker and freight and unloading worker. The decision aims in localizing the postal activities, parcel delivery, and also the jobs providing delivery services via e-platforms, transporting parcels (local and international), and express mail activities, This is in addition to receiving, delivering and transporting postal parcels, to provide postal room management services, and activities of providing postal room management services. The decision also targets the activities of providing processing and storage services for postal items and parcels and redistributing them, It also focuses on the activities that provide postal logistics services, and the activities of private postal transport companies, and many others. It is worth mentioning that the previously issued decision included 100% localization of CEO jobs, and 60% of first level positions for top management jobs, which will come into force on 9/10/1444 AH. While the second phase will include the localization of the second level for top management jobs by 70%, as it will come into force on 16/3/1445 AH. MHRSD has pledged to provide several incentives in regard to supporting the private sector establishments, in order to help them in hiring Saudis.
