The attack resulted in the killing of an Irish soldier and the injury of others, calling for an immediate and transparent investigation into the circumstances of the attack. The Foreign Ministry also expressed the Kingdom's absolute rejection of all forms of violence, affirming its support for "UNIFIL" mission, as well as extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Ireland, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. In Kuwait, the State of Kuwait condemned and denounced the attack targeting the UN-peacekeeping forces in Southern Lebanon, Killing an Irish soldier and injuring others. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait called for launching an investigation into the incident to hold the perpetual accountable, citing the principled and firm position of the State of Kuwait, against violence and terrorism. It extended sincere condolence and sympathy to the government and people of Ireland and the family of the deceased, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. In Amman, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Saturday condemned a shooting incident that killed an Irish peacekeeper and injured three other members of the UNIFIL, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. In a statement, the ministry stressed the need to ensure the security and safety of UN peacekeeping missions and respect their role of safeguarding peace and stability that was assigned to them by the Security Council. It expressed its deep condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Ireland and to the victim's family, and wished the injured speedy recovery. Meanwhile, the Muslim World League too condemned the attack on UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the death of one soldier and the injury of others. MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, reaffirmed the position of MWL, rejecting and condemning all forms of violence. He expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Ireland, and the United Nations, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. — SPA
