Nawaf Aafet Okaz/Saudi Gazette RIYADH — The Prince Salman Center for Kidneys said there are 14,000 final renal patients in the Kingdom who are dependent on renal technology. The center organized a medical awareness campaign for kidney diseases, sponsored by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman, supervisor of the Prince Fahad Bin Salman charity organization for renal failure patients (Kelana), and Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah. In a speech during the campaign, general supervisor of the center Dr. Khalid Al-Saran said the number of final renal failure patients calls for more such campaigns and early detection programs. The campaign was inaugurated by the Deputy Health Minister Dr. Mansoor Al-Hawasi under the logo “Kidney for lives”, which emphasizes on the importance of donating kidneys to save the lives of renal failure patients.
