NEW YORK — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan chaired on Wednesday the Gulf side in the ministerial meeting between the troika of GCC with the United Kingdom, chaired by the Foreign Minister James Cleverly. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The foreign minister repeated condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He also renewed the Kingdom's leadership's congratulations to King Charles III on the occasion of his accession to the throne as King of the UK. During the meeting, they reviewed friendly relations between the GCC countries and the UK, and ways to enhance them in all areas of cooperation. The meeting touched on many regional and international issues of common interest, foremost of which is the promotion of security and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Multilateral International Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.
