RIYADH — Thrilling encounters were witnessed in Fuchs Cup organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) here recently.
In the Al-Kharj Zone, Lahore Badshah got the better of KFSH Blues by 6 wickets. KFSH won the toss and elected to bat first. Khurram (45), Ayaz (42) and Qaiser (34) helped the team reach 192-5 in 20 overs. Lahore Badshah achieved the target in 18 overs thanks to a great innings of 114 by Wahab Khan. Yassir added 26 and Usman 19. Bilal took 2 wickets for KFSH Blues.
In another match, Amir Holidays beat Jawar Al-Jazirah by 46 runs. Batting first, Amir Holidays scored 224-5 in 20 overs. Sami (53), Irfan (41), Afzal (26), Sajid (24) and Kamran (23) were the main run getters. Jawar Al-Jazirah, in reply, was all out for 178. Wajid Khan of Amir Holidays took 4 wickets, while Samiullah Baltistani bagged 3.
In the Huraymala Zone, Riyadh Warriors beat Green Bangla by 40 runs. Taking the strike first, Warriors scored 182 in 20 overs. Shaik Premnawaz scored 64 and Ayaz 35. Mashuk and Jakir took 2 wickets each. Green Bangla, in reply, was bundled out for 142. Mithu made 47 and Moosa 44. Abdul Gafoor and Abdul Aziz took 3 wickets each, while Taufeeq and Ayaz claimed 2 each.
Another match saw KFSH Green beat Riyadh Fighters by 17 runs. KFSH Green scored 200 in 20 overs. Hameed of Riyadh Fighters took 3 wickets. Riyadh Fighters in reply scored 183. Imran Butt made 53, Yasir 34, Imran Younous 29, Hameed 26 and Arshad 21.
In the Riyadh Zone, Grundfos beat Kashmir-XI by 6 wickets. Kashmir-XI was restricted to 152, thanks to some fine bowling by Raheel and Saad, who took 2 wickets each. Grundfos achieved the target in 16 overs. Yassir hit 47, Faris 36 and Joji 24.
Crescent beat TCS Riyadh by 69 runs. Crescent scored 250-6 in 20 overs. Mubashir scored 100, Mansoor 42 and Tilla 40. TCS Riyadh, in reply, could manage only 181-6. Maqsood bowled well for Crescent and took 3 wickets.
Punjab Stars beat Royal Strikers by 59 runs. Punjab Stars scored 198-6.
Nauman 76 and Shakeel 31 were the top scorers. Dileep took 2 wickets for Strikers. In reply, Strikers were all out for 139. Sharafu made 37 and Shiju 27. Tauseef and Iqbal took 3 wickets each, while Bakhtawar and Amir bagged 2 wickets each.
TBCC beat Seham by 3 wickets. Seham made 166 in 20 overs. Noor hit 36, Waseem 29, Ali 24 and Amir 23. Faisal, Lajeesh and Anish took 2 wickets each. TBCC achieved the target in 18.4 overs with Shareef making 35 and Shamnad 24.
In the Al-Qassim Zone, Shaheen-XI beat Chaudhry-XI by 4 wickets. Chaudhry-XI, electing to bat, scored 225 in 20 overs. Sajid 53, Rasheed 53 and Ateeq 46 were among the runs. Amir took 3 wickets. In reply, Shaheen-XI captain Akram smashed an unbeaten innings of 142 off 50 balls to take the team to victory. Waheed 30 and Sami 25 were the other notable scorers. Sonu and Rasheed bagged two wickets each and Ateeq took one.
Elsewhere, Paradise-XI beat Sialkot Stallions by 9 wickets and Janbaz-XI beat Alfatah-XI, while Azad-XI got a walkover against Bismillah-XI.
