RIYADH – Electronic and communication giant LG Saudi Arabia launched its new premium flagship device, the Optimus G, at Al Faisaliyah Rosewood Hotel, Riyadh on Monday night. “This Optimus G is a groundbreaking premium device not only in the history of LG but also in the smartphone industry. With the Optimus G, users will be able to experience unsurpassed User Experience (UX) features that will allow them to perform tasks that really enhance their daily lives. We will change market dynamics in the Saudi market, which is a very important market to us, by introducing this LG device focusing on differentiated user experience,” said John Lee, president of LG Electronics, Saudi Arabia, at a press conference. He described the new smart phone as a unique user experience device that supported by innovative hardware performance. The powerful hardware included in the Optimus G allows for the possibility of such a creative and engaging UX which will enable Optimus G users to “live without boundaries”. Lee said that with the powerful quad-core CPU, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and industry's best technologies for enhanced viewing and longer battery life, LG adds the finishing touches on the Optimus G with a beautiful sleek design and innovative UX features. The offerings in the Optimus G will provide users an experience currently unavailable on any other smartphone. He said the launch of this unique 4G smart phone in the Kingdom is the second in the Middle East and the fifth in the world. “First we launched it in Korea, Japan, Europe, and US. And because of the importance of the Saudi market to us, we launched it here though we were late because we have to adapt the device to the Arabic language requirements. The only two countries that saw the launch are Turkey and the Kingdom because they have ready G4 infrastructure, while other countries in the region still do not have, except UAE which has very law G4 possibility,” he pointed out. Also, the GSM Product Manager Leith Kim at LG said: “Our company's mobile expertise and innovative technologies are the basis of these accomplishments.
