The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the ballistic attack carried out yesterday by the Houthi militia towards the cities of Riyadh and Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia, which the Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen intercepted.
The Secretary General of the OIC, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, condemned the continued escalation of the Houthi militia through targeting civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia with bomb-laden drones, describing these actions as criminal and a violation of international laws and norms.
The Secretary General affirmed the organization's stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures it is taking to protect its territory, security and stability.
Also, Egypt too has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with a ballistic missile, which was successfully intercepted by the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its total condemnation of the Houthi militia's ongoing hostilities against the lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Egypt reiterated its support for the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to preserve its security, stability and territorial integrity against these repeated terrorist attacks, which represent a threat to stability and security in the region.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) joined OIC and Egypt in strongly condemning the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia in a systematic and deliberate manner through two ballistic missiles and a bomb-laden drone that were intercepted by the Coalition Forces.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflects its blatant disregard for the international community and all international laws and norms.
The UAE urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated attacks targeting vital and civilian facilities, the security of the Kingdom and global energy supplies, stressing that the continuation of these attacks in recent days is a serious escalation and new evidence of the militias' efforts to undermine security and stability in the region.
The UAE renewed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia over these terrorist attacks, standing in one line with Saudi Arabia against every threat to its security and stability and supporting it in all measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement concluded by stressing that the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia are inseparable, and that any threat or danger to Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE.
Bahrain too has strongly condemned the launch of a ballistic missile by the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia towards the city of Riyadh and Khamis Mushait, in a blatant attack that reflects its determination to continue targeting the security and safety of civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and its support in all the measures it takes to ensure the security of citizens and expatriates on its lands, praising the vigilance and readiness of the Saudi Air Defense Forces, which were able to confront and destroy the missile, calling on the international community to condemn these terrorist attacks, which are contrary to all human values and principles and inconsistent with international laws.
Kuwait also expressed its condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms, the continued attempts of the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia to threaten the security of the Kingdom by targeting the city of Riyadh with a ballistic missile.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the continuation of these aggressive practices and the escalation they are witnessing targeting civilians, civilian areas, the security Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law and requires the international community to move quickly and decisively to deter these threats and hold the perpetrators accountable.
Pakistan too has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's launching of a ballistic missile towards Riyadh, to target the civilians and civilian infrastructure. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that the successful interception of the ballistic missile by the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces has prevented the loss of innocent lives.
The statement said that such attacks not only violate the international law but also threaten the peace and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region, adding that Pakistan calls for the immediate cessation of these attacks.
