The Saudi-commanded Arab Coalition declared on Sunday its forces intercepted and knocked out a ballistic missile unleashed by the Houthi militias targeting the southern Saudi city of Najran. The official Saudi Press Agency quoted a statement by the Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen as saying that the militias have pursued hostile actions against civilians and civil targets. The alliance said it has been taking all necessary operational procedures to protect civilians in compliance with international humanitarian laws and norms. UAE blasts Houthi bid to target civilians The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia's systematic attempts to target civilians and civilian objects in Najran City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile that was intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition forces. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in a statement issued Sunday, affirmed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflects its blatant challenge to the international community and disregard for all international laws and norms. The ministry urged the international community to take an immediate and decisive stand to stop these repeated attacks that target vital and civilian installations and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the global energy supplies. It reiterated that the continuation of these attacks is a grave escalation that represents new evidence of these militias' attempts to undermine security and stability in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed the UAE's full solidarity and standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facing these terrorist attacks and against whatever threatens its security and stability, in addition to supporting all Saudi Arabia's taken measures to maintain its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. The statement concluded by stressing that the security of the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is inseparable, and that any threat or danger to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE. OIC chief strongly condemns Houthi militia's attack on Najran The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of a ballistic missile to target civilians and civilian objects in Najran City, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al-Othaimeen commended the capabilities of the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen that intercepted and destroyed the missile before reaching its target. In a statement issued Sunday, the Secretary General urged the international community to take firm stands to stop Houthi militia's threats to civilians and civilian objects. He reiterated the OIC's stand and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addressing the terrorist crimes committed by the terrorist Houthi militia, supporting all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to preserve its security, stability and the safety of its citizens and residents. — SPA
