The Saudi-Omani Technological Forum kicked off here Tuesday to explore investment opportunities in innovation and technology between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman. This is an advanced step to enhance communication between them and review the investment opportunities available to investors, as well as the competitive advantages that the Kingdom enjoys as a global digital and logistical platform and a hub for connecting the three continents. This is in addition to the enablers available in the field of research, development and innovation. The event, patronized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), was attended by a number of Saudi and Omani officials. It aimed at linking Saudi companies with the Omani side to facilitate the current expansion of companies, offer investment opportunities to attract Omani companies, make Riyadh a regional center for them and open effective channels for exchanging knowledge and best practices. The MCIT aims, through this cooperation, to achieve its strategy that seeks to benefit from the Kingdom's digital and human capabilities in the field of digital and technological transformation, and invest them in an optimal way in the growth of its future projects to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This is in addition to attracting more foreign technological investments, laying out a road map for the Kingdom's future in innovation and the digital economy. — SPA
