Malaysia has granted Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa the highest Malaysian Award to Muslim scholars in the world. Dr. Al-Issa was granted the Prophet's Hijra (Migration) Award for the most influential Muslim Personality worldwide. The Award was in recognition for his efforts in highlighting the true image of Islam, its principles, noble values and great humanitarian message to the worlds. The award was also in recognition of his convincing contribution in enhancing harmony among the followers of religions and cultures, and his role in spreading world peace. The ceremony was held during a celebration in the presence of Sultan Abdullah Bin Sultan Ahmed Shah, the King of Malaysia, and Malaysian Prime Minister Mohieddin Yassin, along with government officials and representatives of Muslim and non-Muslim countries in the State of Malaysia. The "Prophet Hijra" Award is the most important prize granted at the beginning of every new Hijra year by the government to internationally prestigious personalities who play a prominent role in the service of Islam and humanity. — SPA
