NEOM — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman decorated the visiting Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik of Oman with the King Abdulaziz Necklace in honor and appreciation of the Sultan. On his part, Sultan Haitham presented to King Salman the Order of Al-Said, the highest honor of Oman, in appreciation of him. This exchange of honors was during the reception of Sultan Haitham by the King at NEOM Palace on Sunday. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, was present on the occasion. King Salman and Sultan Haitham also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries regarding the establishment of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council. The MoU was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah and his Omanian counterpart Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi. Those who attended the reception included Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, and Minister of Commerce Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi. On the Omani side, it was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab Bin Tariq Al-Said, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Khalid Al-Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Office and Lt. Gen. Sultan Al-Numani, and Minister of Interior Hammoud Al Busaidi.
