At the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman arrived in NEOM today on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At NEOM Bay Airport, the Sultan of Oman was received by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. After the Sultan of Oman disembarked the plane, Saudi aircraft performed an air show painting the colors of the Omani flag, while Saudi artillery fired 21 rounds to welcome the Sultan. An official reception ceremony was held for Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, where the national anthems of the two countries were played. Then, the Sultan of Oman exchanged greetings with Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Omani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. At the airport hall, HRH Crown Prince welcomed the delegation accompanying the Sultan of Oman, which included Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al-Said; Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al-Busaidi; Minister of Royal Office Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed al-Nu'amani; Minister of Interior Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidi; Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi; Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA) Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al-Murshidi; Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Eng. Said bin Hamoud bin Said Al-Ma'awali; and Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al-Yousef. After that, HRH Crown Prince and Sultan of Oman headed in an official motorcade for NEOM Palace.
