Jeeny joined forces with Wateen, the official app for blood donations supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Health, to ease transporting volunteers to donate blood in all centers across Saudi Arabia with massive discounts on fares. Earlier this June, Jeeny announced through its social media and influencers a 30% discount on rides from/to all blood donation centers in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the company's dedication to its social responsibility locally. The code - named "Hayat" which translates to "life" - was available on the "International Blood Donor" day - June 14th, with "Aim to raise local awareness of the need for blood donations being a critical aspect of care and public health." as Falah Aldaham Alonzy, General Manager of Jeeny said. "Being the first ride booking app company to launch in Saudi Arabia in early 2014, we are deeply committed to the communities where we operate, and are always eager to support initiatives that contribute to the social development of our beloved country." added Falah. Eugen Brikcius, Co-CEO also commented "With the impact that COVID-19 pandemic had on every nation in the world, there is a growing need for health awareness and contribution by every individual who is able." It is important to note that Jeeny had played a big part in contributing, prior to and during, the pandemic towards the Saudi community, campaigning with official organizations like Saudi Food Bank and Saudi Cancer Foundation, by providing discounted rides and even delivery services operated by its fleet of Saudi drivers.
