RIYADH — The Arab Coalition on Thursday intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia toward the Saudi city of Jazan, Al Arabiya TV reported citing a statement from the coalition. In the statement, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen said that the Houthi militia continues to try to target civilians, adding: "It is taking operational measures to protect civilians and civilian facilities from terrorist attacks." A week ago, the Arab Coalition said it intercepted and destroyed as many as 8 armed drones and 3 ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia. The coalition in a statement lauded its success thwarting hostile acts that violate all international laws and norms." A day before the multiple attacks, the coalition destroyed a booby-trapped boat in the south of the Red Sea.
