RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Sunday 348 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, 3 less than Saturday's figure of 351. The ministry announced four more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 382,407 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,567. The ministry also reported 247 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 372,703. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 179 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 52 and the Eastern region with 44 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with eight of them reporting less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 3,137 active cases and 555 of them were in critical condition.
