RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Saturday 382 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, marking a slight increase in the number of infections. The ministry announced five more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of coronavirus infections in the Kingdom to 379,474 and virus-related fatalities to 6,524. The ministry also reported 378 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 370,300. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 183 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 89 and the Makkah region with 43 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with just eight of them reporting 10 or less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 2,650 active cases and 494 of them were in critical condition.
