RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Saturday 386 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours. The single-day cases in the Kingdom breached the 300-mark for five days in a row after more than two months. The virus-related deaths, however, remained low despite a slight increase in the new cases with just 4 reported on Saturday, according to the ministry's statement. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 369,961 and fatalities to 6,397 respectively. The ministry also reported 283 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 361,237. The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of infections with 154 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 110 and the Makkah region saw 54 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the slight increase in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 2,327 out of which 401 were critical.
