RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Wednesday 216 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 367,023. The ministry reported 4 more virus-related deaths over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities to 6,363. The ministry also reported 205 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 358,545, with the recovery rate climbing to 97.69. The Riyadh region reported the highest number of infections with 84 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 45 and the Makkah region with 43 cases while the Al-Jouf region recorded just 1 case and Al-Baha none. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the slight increase in new COVID-19 cases over the past few days, the active cases in Saudi Arabia also rose to 2,115, out of which 348 were critical.
