RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Friday 327 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours. The single-day cases in the Kingdom breached the 300-mark for four days in a row after more than two months. The virus-related deaths, however, remained low despite a slight increase in the new cases with just 3 reported on Friday, according to the ministry's statement. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 369,575 and fatalities to 6,393 respectively. The ministry also reported 257 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 360,954. The Riyadh region recorded the highest number of infections with 134 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 67 and the Makkah region saw 38 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the slight increase in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 2,228 out of which 385 were critical.
