RIYADH — A Saudi citizen, who shot dead his relative and two policemen, was arrested in Riyadh on Wednesday. Another security man sustained injuries when the man fired shots at the security men who rushed to the scene when he threatened to kill his brother-in-law over a family dispute. Maj. The man, carrying a machine gun, fired indiscriminately when police tried to make an intervention to save the relative. This resulted in the killing of the relative, and martyrdom of two security men, and the wounding of a security man with a bullet hitting his thigh. The security man is in a stable condition, the spokesman said. The assailant escaped after the attack and the police subsequently launched a massive manhunt that resulted in his arrest from a farm in Al-Rafiah town, 300 km northeast of Riyadh.
