RIYADH — New coronavirus cases continued to fall in Saudi Arabia with 419 new infections reported on Saturday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health. The ministry also announced 27 more deaths from complications caused by COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections and the virus-related death toll in the Kingdom to 335,997 and 4,850 respectively. Of the new cases, Madinah reported 68 infections followed by 48 in Yanbu, 45 in Makkah, and 25 in Riyadh. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom. With the steady drop in the number of new infections, active cases have also continued to drop sharply in the Kingdom with 10,117 reported on Friday out of which 954 are critical. The ministry also announced that 626 more patients have fully recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 320,974, with the recovery rate surpassing 95 percent.
