RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Friday recorded 472 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, marking the lowest single-day infections in more than five months. The second single-day lowest cases, 483, were recorded on Sept. 20. According to the Ministry of Health, 26 more patients succumbed to the deadly virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 332,329 and the virus-related fatalities to 4,625. Makkah reported the highest daily detected cases with 86, followed by Madinah with 46 cases, and Dammam with 32. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom. Meanwhile, a total of 843 more patients have completely recovered from the deadly disease, pushing the total number of recoveries to 315,636 as the recovery rate has reached 94.97. Active cases have continued to drop with only 12,066 left on Friday, including 1,053 that are critical and still receiving intensive care.
