ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Monday recorded 470 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 74,454, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The ministry said that the new patients, all of whom are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care, were detected after it conducted 57,506 additional COVID-19 tests among UAE citizens and residents over the past few days. Meanwhile, a total of 438 more people have recovered from the deadly disease after receiving necessary medical care, pushing the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 66,533. The ministry also announced the death of two more patients from complications caused by COVID-19, bringing the total death toll to 390. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all patients. It urged the public to cooperate with health authorities and comply with all precautionary measures, particularly social distancing protocols, to ensure the safety and protection of all.
