RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Wednesday reported 816 new COVID-19 cases, along with 996 recoveries. There were 898 new cases in the Kingdom on Tuesday.Twenty-seven deaths were also recorded during the past 24 hours, the health ministry said. This takes the total reported cases in the country to 317,486, and recoveries to 292,510. The death tally has now climbed to 3,956, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. Currently, there are 21,020 active cases in the Kingdom out of which 1,523 are critical. Madinah and Hail both recorded 45 new infections on Wednesday. There were 44 cases in Riyadh, 43 in Jeddah, 41 in Dammam, 40 in Makkah, 37 in Hufof, 34 in Najran, 26 in Yanbu, 25 in Tabuk, 23 each in Taif and Abha, 22 in Jubail and 21 each in Al-Mobarraz and Ar'ar. The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al-Abdel Ali said.
