RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Health Ministry on Monday reported 1,175 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, along with 2,745 recoveries. Forty-two deaths were also reported. This takes the total reported cases in the Kingdom to 308,654, and recoveries to 282,888. The death tally has now gone up to 3,691, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. There are 22,075 active cases in the country, of which 1,635 are in critical condition. Makkah again topped the list of cities reporting 84 new infections on Monday. There were 60 cases in Hail, 58 in Jeddah, 53 in Sabya, 51 in Madinah, 48 in Abu Arish, 37 in Riyadh, 33 in Jazan, 29 each in Hufof and Tabuk, 24 each in Mobarraz and Qunfudah, 21 in Uhad Al-Masaraha and 20 in Dhamad. The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, the spokesman said.
