RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded 1,069 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 312,924. The ministry also announced 28 more deaths from complications caused by COVID-19 on Friday, raising the number of virus-related fatalities to 3,813. Madinah and Riyadh saw the highest increase with 61 new cases each, Jazan and Hail recorded 59 and 48 respectively, while Jeddah and the holy city of Makkah registered 43 new infections each. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries reached 287,403 after 1,148 individuals who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered from the deadly disease. There were 21,708 active cases in the Kingdom of which 1,576 were in a critical condition, with the recovery rate reaching 91.84, according to the ministry.
