RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Thursday reported 3,383 new coronavirus cases and 54 more deaths resulting from complications caused by the COVID-19 infection, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health. The ministry also said that 4,909 cases have recovered from the deadly infection, raising the total number of cases that have recovered in the Kingdom so far since the outbreak of the pandemic to 137,669. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections and virus-related fatalities in the Kingdom so far to 197,608 and 1,752 respectively. Of the new cases, Riyadh registered the highest number of cases with 397, followed by Al Hafouf with 277 and Makkah with 271. Meanwhile, Madinah, Jeddah and Dammam recorded 179, 164 and 141 new infections respectively.
