RIYADH — Continuing a declining trend, the new coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia on Saturday stood at 1,184, making it the lowest number in four months, according to the latest health ministry update. There were 1,213 new coronavirus cases on Friday. The death toll increased to 3,619 after 39 fatalities were recorded since Friday, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. The total number of recoveries has reached 278,441 after 1,374 individuals who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered. Makkah topped the list of new corona infections with 91 cases. It was followed by 73 cases in Samta, 53 in Riyadh, 50 in Hail, 49 in Jazan, 47 in Baish, 38 each in Madinah, Sabya and Jeddah, 29 in Dammam, 28 each in Abu Arish, Najran and Tabuk and 22 in Tathleeth. The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, the spokesman said.
