Arab nabbed for defrauding investors

MAKKAH — Search and investigation teams of Makkah police have detained an Arab national for allegedly conning several people. Makkah police spokesman Lt. Col. Zaki Al-Rehaili said the suspect was able to collect more than SR1.5 million and was frequenting five-star hotels and driving luxurious cars. He convinced his latest victim to invest in steel, received SR400,000 from him and then disappeared. Police circulated information about the suspect and search and investigation teams were able to detain him. He is also wanted in connection with other cases.
