RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Thursday reported 3,372 new coronavirus cases and 41 virus-related deaths over the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health. This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and fatalities in the Kingdom to 170, 639 and1,428 respectively. The ministry also said that a total of 5,085 more patients have completely recovered from the deadly virus, taking the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom 117,882. The Kingdom has seen a slight drop in the number of new infections and a steady surge in the number of recoveries over the last few days. Of the newly detected cases, Dammam, Makkah, Al Hufuf and Al Qatif reported more than 300 cases with 333, 331, 304, and 304 infections respectively, however, Riyadh recorded 241 and Jeddah saw 218 new cases.
