ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday reported 779 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number 0f confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country to 31,806, according to a statement from the country's Ministry of Health and Prevention. The ministry said that the health authorities conducted over 28,000 COVID-19 additional tests in the last few days, leading to the detection of new cases. Meanwhile, 325 more patients have completely recovered after receiving necessary treatment, raising the total recoveries to 15,982. The ministry also announced five deaths, taking the total coronavirus-related fatalities in the country to 253. The ministry expressed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, who were of citizens of different countries and wished a speedy recovery to all patients. The health authorities have once again called on the public to cooperate and comply with all precautionary measures, especially social distancing regulations, to ensure the safety and protection of the public.
