ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Friday announced 624 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of coronavirus infections in the country to 37,642, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Prevention carried by WAM. The new cases were detected as a result of the ministry's intensified testing campaign to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatments. According to the ministry, the infected individuals, who are from different countries, are in stable health conditions, and receiving the necessary care. The ministry also announced the death of one patient as a result of COVID-19 complications, taking the total number of deaths in the country to 274. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. Meanwhile, 765 more individuals have fully recovered from COVID-19, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 20,337 of total recovered patients, the ministry added. It called on the public to cooperate with health authorities and adhere to social distancing protocols and preventative measures to ensure the health and safety of all.
