MUSCAT — Oman announced 27 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate to 484, the Ministry of Health said in a statement carried by the state news agency ONA on Friday. According to the statement, one more patient has died from the deadly virus, raising the number of coronavirus-related fatalities to three so far in the country. The statement added that 109 people have completely recovered. Meanwhile, the ministry urged everyone to strictly adhere to social distancing rules and follow all guidelines and instructions issued by the competent authorities to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Sultanate. It also called on all citizens and residents to regularly clean hands with soap and water, avoid touching face, nose, mouth, and eyes, and follow healthy habits when sneezing and coughing and not to leave their homes unless necessary. "By our commitment to healthy isolation and to social and physical distance, we will protect ourselves, our families and our community from the Coronavirus, God willing," the statement added.
