JEDDAH — Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, has emphasized the need to expand business ties between Indian and Saudi companies. Addressing the executive committee members of the Saudi Indian Business Network (SIBN) at the premises of the Indian consulate here on Saturday, the ambassador said since Saudi Arabia was hosting this year's G20 summit, several ministers would be visiting the Kingdom to sign a slew of memorandums of understanding. The meeting with SIBN executive committee was attended by Dr. Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit, DCM in the Indian Embassy in Riyadh; Dr. C. Ram Babu, second secretary in the embassy; Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh, consul general; Hamna Mariyam, consul (Press, Information and Commerce); Y. Sabir, consul (Haj and HOC); Sanjay Kumar Sharma, vice consul (Commerce), Abdullah Kassabi, president of the SIBN; Mohammed Alungal, SIBN vice president; Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, SIBN general secretary; Adnan Zagzoog, SIBN joint secretary; Vijay Soni, Treasurer; Adil Sanai, Dr. Abdul Raheem Moulana, Danish Abdul Gafoor, Majeedul Hassan, Mohammed Sayeeduddin, Riaz Mulla and Amjad Shareef, MRA, Indian Consulate at Consulate General of India, Jeddah. Arif Qureshi and Asif Dawoodi were other members of the SIBN who were present during the meeting. Earlier, the ambassador also had separate meetings with officials of Indian Pilgrims Welfare Forum (IPWF), India Forum, Indian Engineers Forum and Indian Chartered Accountants Forum. An open house was also held with the Indian community in Jeddah.
