Saudi-Indian Business Network (SIBN) that works under the patronage of the Consulate General of India, has announced the appointment of Musaab S. Al Muhaidib as new president. He succeeded Mazen Mohammed Batterjee, vice-chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI). Musaab Al-Muhaidib is the general manager of Masdar Building Materials, a leading trading company in steel, timber and aluminum in Saudi Arabia. Musaab also sits on the boards of Al-Muhaidib Contracting, Elryan, Shaker, Goldman Sachs Saudi Arabia, Dur Hospitality, and Endeavour Saudi Arabia. Musaab obtained his BA in Finance from University of Miami and his MBA from University of Liverpool. Musaab attended a broad range of strategic, leadership and turnaround programs from different business schools as INSEAD, LBS, and IMD. Musaab speaks Arabic, English and little French. B.S. Mubarak, Consul General of India, is the vice patron and Dr. Mohammed Nurul Hasan, Consul (Commerce) is the new convener of SIBN. The management committee includes Vice-President Mohammed Alungal, General Secretary Syed Majeedul Hassan, Executive Secretary Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, Joint Secretary Adnan Ahmad Zagzog, Treasurer Vijay Soni, Event Coordinators Zakariya Ahmed Biladi and Asim Zeeshan. Sultan Fouad Masoom, Director, Economic Cities Authority, has been nominated as Public Relation Officer. SIBN is a professional organization that groups together entrepreneurs, senior executives and professionals from Saudi Arabia and India. Formally launched on March 13, 2005, SIBN aims to be the nodal point for high-level interaction between the business communities of India and Saudi Arabia. The SIBN aims to act as an informal interface to promote trade and commerce, business alliances, joint ventures and investments between India and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a bilateral basis. The SIBN aims at introducing Indian companies to the vast opportunities that exist in the Kingdom and to aid them in projecting their expertise and strengths in various disciplines for prospective alliances with business & trade organizations operating in Saudi Arabia. It also aims to provide a reciprocal interface for business and trade organizations established in Saudi Arabia to explore business opportunities in India. SIBN has facilitated many business delegations to support Indo-Saudi Business relationship. Last year, in Global Exhibition on Services (GES), the delegation to Delhi was one of applauded delegation from SIBN. This year, Global Exhibition on Services II (GES II) will be held in New Delhi on April 21-23 and SIBN team is working on making a pitch for Saudi-Indian ease of business through this forum once again. — SG
