RIYADH— The Aligarh Muslim University Alumni Association – Jazan Chapter celebrated Sir Syed Day at Hotel Hyatt Jazan, under the esteemed core committee, presided by Dr. Mohammad Riaz Khan, Dr. Athar Ahmad Khan and Dr. Ahmad Khalid Khan. Over 150 Alumni and AMU well-wishers gathered for the evening to remember and appreciate the achievements of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The main program commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an by Dr. Hifzur Rehman, who is handling responsibility as the auditor in this association. Dr Shadab Alam, as a representative of the organizing committee, gratified all seniors and fellow alumni through his overwhelming welcome address. Mohammad Faisal, one of the executive committee members, delivered a magnificent speech on Aligarh Movement in Urdu. On behalf of our Alma Mater, the chairman of AMU Alumni Affair Committee Prof. Dr. M. M. Sufyan Beg, extended his best wishes through his video message to the Alumni Association of Jazan. Dr. Ruby Khan, one of the organizer of kids' competition eve, extended her team's acknowledgements to each and every corner and felicitated all winners of various literary, cultural and athletics activities through core committee members namely Dr. Mohammad Riaz Khan, Dr. Athar Ahmad Khan and Dr. Ahmad Khalid Khan, one of the Panelist Faiz Yazdani and Executive Committee member Dr. Jauhar Iqbal. Dr. Mohammad and Dr Athar shared their valuable experiences with all attendees. Executive committee members Ms Sabiha Khan, Ms Sana Sarwar, Dr. Shams Tabrez, Agha Salman Haider along with Dr. Sarwat and Dr. Sadia conducted a quiz on Aligarh Movement. Member Secretary Dr. Syed Kashif Ali expressed his Vote of Thanks to all seniors and attendees of the meet. The program concluded with the nostalgic AMU Tarana and Indian National Anthem by Saifullah with his choir group. Waliur Rehman and Ms Darakhshan Mazhar anchored the program.
