RIYADH — AR Sports, Green Bangla and Khayber Zalmi emerged champions of Western Union T20 tournament in Huraymala, Hayer and Diriyah leagues respectively. This event was organized by Riyadh Cricket Association and was sponsored by Western Union Money Transfer. Huraymala League: In Huraymala League finale, AR Sports Blue defeated Falcon by 8 wickets. AR Sports won the toss and elected to field first. Farrukh and Farhan continued their good run with the bat and scored fifties. Farrukh smashed 66 and Farhan did 59. Bilal Awan picked up 3 wickets while Nadeem, Hameed and Amir took one wicket each as Falcon accumulated 178 for 6 in allotted 20 overs. In reply, AR sport's openers looked confident. Hamzullah got caught after scoring brilliant 58. Unbeaten Asim and Ahsan took AR to title victory in just 16.3 overs. Asim slammed 78 off 41 balls while Ahsan scored 39. Atiq and Farhan took a wicket each. Asim Yaqoob was declared man of the match for his match winning knock. Hayer League: Green Bangla conquered the Hayer League after thrashing Dana Trading in the final. After electing to bat first, Bangla posted 212 losing 8 wickets. Zakir led with 70 off 36 balls. Badal 44, Kalam 32 and Golam 21 also batted well. Riyas picked up 4 wickets haul for Dana. Mamum grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, Dana kept losing wickets regularly. Waqar 38, Ishtiaq 37, Hazim 27 and Riyas 23 contributed with the bat. Ayubullah and Anower took 2 wickets each while Zakir, Rahyan, Bappi and Hassan picked up a wicket each. Zakir Hussain was adjudged man of the match for his all-round show. Diriyah League: Khayber Zalmi earned the Diriyah League crown as they outplayed Deccan Chargers. Batting first, Khayber collated in modest total of 179 for 6. Manzoor Shah played an outstanding knock of 104 off just 60 balls. Shakir assisted with 41 of 39 balls. Rahil and Shahnawaz took one wicket each. Chasing a relatively low target, Deccan never looked to be in the game as Wali ran through their batting lineup. Khalid topscored with 39 as Deccan was bowled out for just 95 in 13.3 overs. Wali picked up 4 for 15. Arif took 2 while Waqar, Haider, Nawab and Zakir claimed one wicket each. Manzoor Shah earned the well-deserved man of the match award.
