Eng. Hisham Al Bahkali, GE's President & Chief Executive Officer for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and Khalid Alkhudair, Founder & CEO of Glowork, at the signing of partnership agreement.

GE signed an agreement with Glowork, a dedicated agency that works toward empowering women in the professional workforce of the Kingdom, to support ‘A Step Ahead Career Fair' being organized by Glowork in Riyadh on April 15-16, 2013, as its “Saudi Talent Partner.”
At the event, organized under the patronage of the Saudi Arabian Minister of Labor Adel F. Fakeih, GE will organize a series of workshops to highlight the rewarding career opportunities available for talented Saudi female students across its businesses, as well as offer specialized insights on enhancing their career opportunities. The participants at these workshops will be provided certificates of attendance.
At a ceremony held in Riyadh recently, Eng. Hisham Al Bahkali, GE's President & Chief Executive Officer for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and Khalid Alkhudair, Founder & CEO of Glowork, signed the partnership agreement.
Al Bahkali said: “GE is committed to supporting Saudi human capital development. Over the past years, we have taken several concerted initiatives to identify, recruit and train young Saudi talent in various technical and administrative roles across our diverse businesses. We have facilitated this through strong academic linkages and by partnering with organizations that work to empower our talented youngsters such as KFUPM and TVTC. Through our partnership with Glowork for its Career Fair we are further highlighting our commitment to strengthen the skillsets of Saudi female students and prepare them for rewarding professional careers.”
Alkhudair said: “We are delighted to have the support of GE, a diversified business entity, as Saudi Talent Partner for our Career Fair. As the leading e-portal career gateway dedicated for females and an enabler for women throughout the region, we help female talent in the Kingdom to secure rewarding careers. A Step Ahead is a Saudi-centric program that aims to empower women, ranging from senior university students to fresh graduates to be part of the workforce by enriching their skills in job search as well as personal and professional skills. We are confident that with the support of entities such as GE, the event will set a new milestone in promoting women's employment in the Kingdom.”
