ABHA – A speeding driver caused 600 people in Al-Areen Valley in Abha to stay in the dark for more than four hours. The driver hit a high-voltage electric pole, causing extensive damage to overhead power lines. He sustained moderate injuries while his vehicle was destroyed in the accident. The Saudi Electricity Company quickly dispatched a team to the scene of the accident and power was restored to the valley in four hours.
