RIYADH — About 91 percent of the Saudi women do not practice any form of sport regularly, the Arabic daily Makkah reported on Monday quoting the results of a survey conducted by the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat). The survey said the number of adult women (15 years or above) who practice sport for 150 minutes every week was not more than 8.9 percent. The survey, conducted for the year 2018, covered 26,000 Saudi families in the Kingdom's 13 administrative regions. According to GaStat, Saudis, including both men and women, who do physical exercise for about 150 minutes a week are not more than 18.9 percent. It said about 81 percent of Saudi men did not have anything to do with sports, except watch football matches.
