JEDDAH - The Council of Ministers on Tuesday reiterated the Kingdom's rejection of interfering in the internal affairs of Bahrain and anything that infringes on its sovereignty, security and stability. The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, stated that the Kingdom looks forward to continuing strong relations between Bahrain and Iraq, based on mutual respect and contributing to achieving regional security and stability. Minister of Media Turki Al-Shabanah said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet reviewed the Kingdom's participation in the Second Forum of Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation held in Beijing. It noted that the integration of the Chinese "Belt and Road" initiative and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 related to boosting development of both countries as well as building a sustainable future economy based on the knowledge society and emerging technologies, and the Kingdom's contribution to raising the level of regional prosperity by transforming it into a major logistics industrial platform targeting West Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Al-Shabanah said the Cabinet approved the regulations of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration. It also endorsed the national spectrum plan. The Cabinet authorized minister of foreign affairs or his deputy to discuss with Britain about the draft agreement for the creation of the Strategic Partnership Council between the two governments. It also authorized minister of health, who is also chairman of the board of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), or his deputy to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding between SFDA and Food Standards AustraliaNew Zealand for cooperation in the field of food safety criteria and exchange of information. The minister of transport or his deputy was authorized to discuss and sign MoU between the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the French Civil Aviation Authority in the field of civil aviation security.
