BERLIN – Schalke 04 survived a second-half fight-back to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the Ruhr derby Saturday and Bundesliga leader Bayern Munich twice came from behind to beat Fortuna Duesseldorf 3-2. Bayern made it 10 wins out of 10 in all competitions as it powered 20 points clear of second-placed Dortmund at the top of the league. Third-placed Bayer Leverkusen lost 1-0 at Mainz 05 and Greuther Fuerth remained without a home win as it crashed 3-0 against Hoffenheim. Freiburg lost 5-2 at home to VfL Wolfsburg in the afternoon's other game. Jerome Boateng scored an 86th-minute winner for Bayern after Mathis Bolly and Andreas Lambertz had twice put promoted Fortuna ahead, with Thomas Mueller and Franck Ribery replying each time. Julian Draxler and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar put Schalke 2-0 ahead after 35 minutes. Champion Dortmund pulled one back through Robert Lewandowski just before the hour and dominated the second half. On Friday, Hiroshi Kiyotake scored the opening goal and drew a foul that led to the winner as Nuremberg beat Augsburg 2-1. Betis rises to 5th In Spain, striker Ruben Castro scored late to give Real Betis a 2-1 win over Osasuna Friday, as the Andalusian side rose to provisional fifth place in the Spanish league. Jorge Molina gave Betis the lead on its rain-soaked home pitch when he headed in Joel Campbell's cross in the 19th minute. Osasuna made two substitutions at halftime and gained control of the ball, with midfielder Francisco Silva equalizing in the 73rd minute on the break. But Betis coach Pepe Mel sent on Dorlan Pabon in the 78th and a minute later the Colombia forward threaded a perfect through pass for Castro to coolly roll under the goalkeeper. Castro's 13th goal of the season made him the joint fourth highest scorer in the league through 27 rounds. Balotelli again In Rome, Mario Balotelli came off the bench to help fire 10-man AC Milan to a hard-fought 2-0 win at Genoa Friday, strengthening its grip on third place in Serie A ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Barcelona. Balotelli netted the decisive second goal on the hour after replacing the injured Giampaolo Pazzini, who scored Milan's 22nd-minute opener only to be substituted three minutes later. Milan now has 51 points, two behind second-placed Napoli and four ahead of Inter Milan and Lazio. — Agencies
