Al-Burj, Pak Zalmi, Saudi Oil and Shawahid in Kanoo semis

JEDDAH — Al-Burj, Pak Zalmi, Saudi Oil and Shawahid Tech scored convincing wins over Makkah Eagles, Kashmir Stags, KAIA and Royal Jurana, respectively, to enter the semifinals of the Kanoo Premier League, sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In the semis, Saudi Oil will lock horns with Pak Zalmi and Al-Burj will take on a mighty Shawahid Tech.
Fine batting by Zia (39), Hasnain (40) and Shahid (33) gave Saudi Oil a 74-run win over KAIA despite an unbeaten 62 by Majid and a fine spell of 4 for 27 by Adnan.
Shawahid amassed 239 for 4, thanks to Shad (61), Abdul Samad (48) and Usman Khan (45) and bundled out Royal Jurana for a paltry 99 to win by 140 runs, with some accurate bowling spell by Shafeeq (3 for 9), Arshad (3 for 16) and Usman Butt (2 for 9).
Stellar all-round show by Saeed (67 runs and 2 for 20) and good support from Tauseef (2 for 41) and Asad (2 for 26) gave Pak Zalmi an 8-wicket win over Kashmir Stags, despite Sajid's 88.
Quality pace bowling by Bilal (3 for 16) and Khalid (3 for 20) enabled Al-Burj to restrict Makkah Eagles to 109 for 8 and chase the target successfully in 6.4 overs by Shani (59 not out) and Bilal (20 not out).

Saudi Oil beat KAIA by 74 runs. Saudi Oil 227 for 8 in 20 overs (Hasnain 40, Zia 39, Shahid 33, Adnan 4 for 27). KAIA 153 for 5 in 20 overs (Majid 62 not out, Waqar 30 Osama 2 for 31).
Shawahid Tech beat Royal Jurana by 140 runs. Shawahid 239 for 4 (Shad Khan 61, Samad 48, Usman Khan 45, Muzammil 2 for 27). Royal Jurana 99 all out (Mansoor 35, Shafeeq 3 for 9, Arshad 3 for 16).
Pak Zalmi beat Kashmir Stags by 8 wickets. Kashmir Stags 170 all out (Sajid 88, Adil 23, Saeed 2 for 20, Asad 2 for 26, Tauseef 2 for 41). Pak Zalmi 174 for 2 in 16.2 overs (Saeed 67, Waqas 43).
Al-Burj beat Makkah Eagles by 9 wickets. Makkah Eagles 109 for 8 (Bilal 3 for 16, Khalid 3 for 20). Al-Burj 110 for 1 in 6.4 overs (Shani 59 not out, Bilal 20 not out).
