JEDDAH — Saudi Oil and Al-Burj qualified for the final of the Kanoo Premier League T20 Cup, sponsored by Kanoo and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). In the semifinals, Saudi Oil knocked off Pak Zalmi by 93 runs and Al-Burj eliminated Shahwahid by 31 runs. Bilal scored a scintillating century (127 not out in 60 balls with 14 fours and 6 sixes) and with some support from Adeel (29) guided Al-Burj to 235 for 5 despite wickets were falling at regular intervals. In reply, Shawahid lost a couple of early wickets to the fiery pace bowling of Shani Lahor (4 for 24) and Raj Mohammed (2 for 29). However lower order batsmen Usman Khan (76) and Bilal Khan (50 not out) gave a spirited fightback to take them to 204 for 9 in 20 overs, short by 31 runs. Hasnain (43), Zia (59), Usama (71) and Mohsin (50) batted brilliantly to help Saudi Oil put on a match-winning score of 268-5, despite Fida's conservative bowling grabbed 3 for 48. In reply, Pak Zalmi batsmen Waqas (72) and Saeed (32) batted aggressively. But good bowling in tandem by Tauseef (2 for 9), Shahid (2 for 25) and Aftab (2 for 26) bundled out Pak Zalmi for 175 to win by 93 runs. Scores: Al-Bruj beat Shawahid by 31 runs.
