JEDDAH – The 100th Day of School is an important hallmark for students and teachers at Edugates International School. Not only does it mean half of the school year has passed, but it also grants the school an opportunity to showcase their students' work. It is a day to motivate, evaluate, accentuate and above all celebrate the talented students. Everything on display is done by the students for the students, highlighting the importance Edugates attaches to a learner-centered approach and the 100th day means that it's time for a huge celebration. Students, teachers and administrators gather in the school playground to display and celebrate their accomplishments for the first 100 days of school. Haifa As Sairi,the school principal, said that Edugates celebrates the 100 day celebration every year. The students on this day dress up in special costumes and even the parents participate. On this day each student displays their individual work from day one. Previously, the event was attended by the Expo foreign ministry of Education, AMIS and Activity Supervisors.” Dalaal Galant, head of the Senior Primary and Middle School and 100th Day event manager, said: “As the event manager of the 100th Day, I am extremely proud of what our school has achieved in the first 100 days of school.” As a highlight to the 100th Day activity, all students in K-12 came dressed up as if they were 100 years old, and expressed how they had grown over the first 100 days of school. What made this year special was that students demonstrated what they were capable of doing collectively and independently by producing quality work of a high standard. Activities varied from one grade to the next.
