MADINAH — An electric failure led to a power cut at Dar Al-Madinah Secondary School for girls. Civil Defense and Red Crescent teams rushed to the school and evacuated 500 students and teachers. The panic and crowding caused students to pass out and 26 of them were transported to hospital. The short circuit was due to damaged wires in an electric box inside the school. The large emergency exits, however, helped in facilitating the evacuation of students and minimizing injuries. — SG
